The immediate two changes I would make would be:

a) More support for unions, because a genuine free-market means that negotiations must be free, rather than the current system in which governments place a stranglehold on unions while allowing corporations to dictate terms and do what they like. Pitting an individual against a group is unfair, and not a reflection of a genuine free market. (I would also, for the record, support the reverse - I don't think that single small business owner being pitted against a trade union is fair either.)

b) Stricter anti-trust laws. Since the 1980s we've seen more and more mega-conglomerates and near-monopolies and the result is that the economic climate of the 2020s bears a stark resemblance to that of the 1890s. Competition is great, that's what makes capitalism great - someone needs to step in and stop the cartels.

The above I think would reverse most of the damage that was done during the terrible and failed neoliberal experiment of the 1980s and 1990s and rescue capitalism from its current state of being on the verge of turning into feudalism.

As a secondary measure I'd also explore a reform of monetary policy - though I don't think returning to the gold standard is a good idea, I also don't think that fiat currency is in most people's best interests and nor is fractional reserve banking. I haven't formulated a coherent view of what form this should take because I stopped researching this over five years ago when I stopped caring about politics and ran out of money for such academic pursuits.

An exploration of georgism wouldn't go amiss either, especially to right some of the damage that property market speculation has caused.

Studied economics for a time. Realized it was a pipe dream that has caused more death than capitalism ever realistically could. And I grew up.

In any case, I do have a few recommendations if you want to challenge your opinion (Or don't and prove my point anyways): Democracy the god that failed by Hans Herman Hoppe, a theory of Capitalism and socialism by the same author, economics in one lesson by Henry Hazlit, basic economics by Thomas Sowell, Anatomy of the State by Murray Rothbard and For a New Liberty by Murray Rothbard.

Good books to get started on.
