I personally think she's already dead and they're just waiting until all the family is there to make an official announcement.

It's going to be weird for me as a Canadian, she's the only monarch I've known. But now they're going to have to put Charles on our money, replace any portraits of her. I'm not a strong supporter of the monarchy, but this still to me feels like the end of an era and the last remnants of a simpler time when the world didn't feel like constant doom and gloom going away.

The official announcement of the death is posted on the gates of Buckingham Palace. I imagine they are there for that.
