Pray, tell, how would we spell "choice" in this brave new world?

simple. tshoise. tʃoise if you're more extreme, and khoise if you're a psychopath.

Not so simple for the other c in choice is to distinguish pronunciation of choice from poise. tshoiss, possibly.

And in one word, this why spelling reform just makes English orthography more complex.

But also colour reflects pronunciation better than color.

Phonetic spelling reforms are dialectal imperialism. As an illustrative example, Alan and Ellen are pronounced the same way in NZ, but they're not generally regarded as homophones. Whatchu gonna do phonetic reformers?

poise would be spelled poiz.

But also colour reflects pronunciation better than color.

in a perfect world, we kould remove all vowels other than a (ah), e (eh), i (iy), o (oh), and u (oo), and maybe leave some diphthongs if we really wanted to.

in a slightly less perfect world, we kould remove some vowels and replase others with aksented (axented?) versions to make it klearer how they are pronounsed.
