...sigh, just like I'm doing right now.

In relevant news, it feels like as the House gets marginally better for the Dems the senate moves in the opposite direction...Or I'm making too much out of a small fluctuation.

This made me chuckle from this article:
But there have also been reports of higher-than-usual voter registration among young men. An analysis of a series of polls by the nonpartisan firm PerryUndem,2 shared with FiveThirtyEight, before and after the Dobbs ruling found that men of reproductive age were more likely to prioritize “safe and legal abortion” as a voting issue.

Some youngin's don't want to work on their pull out game. (pulling out is a terrible form of birth control...just in case)

I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in the stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Council-er or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who prefers a negative peace which is the absence of tension to a positive peace which is the presence of justice; who constantly says "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I can't agree with your methods of direct action;" who paternalistically feels he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by the myth of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait until a "more convenient season." -MLK Jr.

Republican Governor of Virginia is proving himself and doing an awesome job as Governor of Virginia, and on other issues as well on this article, with a video link. Republican: Virginia Gov. Youngkin on track to restore parental rights against woke education bureaucrats
New transgender policy helps Virginia parents, guarantees parental rights.

In 2021, Glenn Youngkin ran on a platform of restoring parental rights in Virginia. It sounds almost unbelievable that he would have to do this but the previous administration, along with several school districts in the commonwealth, were determined to sacrifice those rights at the altar of far-left ideologies that are harmful to the mental, emotional, and physical well-being of children.

Youngkin’s embrace of the parents’ movement in Virginia delivered him victory and from day one, he has been fulfilling his campaign promises. He immediately issued an executive order allowing parents to decide if their children needed to wear a mask at school; this was followed up with bipartisan legislation mandating the same. Several recalcitrant school districts resisted, but on the same day as he signed the bill making masks optional, Youngkin was vindicated in court when a Loudoun County Circuit Court judge held that the policies of that infamous school board had done "irreparable harm to children" and enjoined the school district from continuing to defy Governor Youngkin’s order.

But Youngkin wasn’t done. His next step was to rewrite a Virginia Department of Education Model Policy, issued last year, that forced young schoolchildren to share bathrooms, locker rooms, overnight facilities, and athletic competitions with members of the opposite sex. That model policy was drafted by 34 people, comprised almost entirely of far-left special interest groups, school administrators and school board members, bureaucrats and legislators. There was exactly ONE "parent representative."

COVID-19 DROVE PARENTS TO HOME-SCHOOL THEIR KIDS, BUT CLASSROOM POLITICIZATION KEPT THEM THERE, TEXAS MOM SAYS

That policy was in response to a 2020 law, entitled "Treatment of transgender students; policies," which mandated that public schools develop policies consistent with "evidence-based best practices" which would include compliance with applicable non-discrimination laws, maintenance of student records, prevention of bullying and harassment, identification of students, protection of student privacy, enforcement of dress codes, and participation in sex-specific school activities/events and use of school facilities.

Parents need to decide many issues for their kids and parents need to know what they are taught in school and how, Parents need to have a voice in their children s education and need to know about their kids in school. The main issues that got Republican Govenor of Virginia, Glenn Youngkin elected, thanks for sharing your opinion.

Kids are not the property of their parents. And parents need to stop being such a bunch of fucking fragile snowflakes over the idea that kids might learn that American history wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows where nothing bad ever happened to anyone and the natives and the US Army just had a massive tea party at Wounded Knee.

History is taught in schools, I know a lot about History, Geography, Biography's, Current Events and Politics, I studied at the Libraries and have read many books. By Geography I mean facts about US States, nations and people. What Kids don't need is CRT Critical Race Theory brainwashing against the USA.

Any decline after a persistent stagnation, which I did not not talk about recently, is worth paying attention to. However, you're right to disregard the Senate forecast's going from 68 to 69 in the most recent update. If it gets back to 71, then it'll be worth paying attention to that.

Have to say I've been pleasantly surprised by the Special Master so far. Given that he was one of the names put up by Trumps team I thought there might be something shady going on...but it seems it really did boil down to Trump assuming that everyone is a petty vindictive thug like him, and that therefore Dearie would be focused on "punishing" the FBI over some warrants he had signed off on 5 years ago getting thrown out for FBI misconduct.

Did kind of lol at the legal geniuses Trump has working for him arguing that the Special Master they nominated for the specific purpose of reviewing the materials seized by the FBI doesn't have the right to know what materials they want him to review.

I can't find it but there's a quote about King John (the Robin Hood one) that runs something like "he thought all men as base as himself", which is offered as an explanation for why he was a poor politician (king).

To some extent I can't fault people for doing this. In some sense, one's best model of another human is, in fact, one's own self, in the sense that one would assume one tiger/cow/toad/whatever is much like another. On the other hand... to quote a Doors song... people are strange, if you're a stranger.
