And Republicans will sweep the midterms and democracy will end. One of the things they will do is destroy unions .

Yet somehow 60% of Republicans in that poll support the strikes...

The only thing destroying the unions is the fact that workers have realized that the union bosses are only interested in lining their pockets.

Sorry to sound like CTOAN, but could we possibly consider not beating the same piñata over and over again? Everybody seems(and I'll admit to doing this on occasion)to delight in beating poor Lumen up on the theory that if we do it enough we'll get an endless supply of Reese's Pieces showering upon our heads. Lumen is a human being and doesn't need to be constantly beaten up on the same things over and over again. I do wonder why the political lens is the only one he's seeing this issue through, but I can understand why he'd see not wanting Republicans to win through any possible-albeit unlikely-chaos ensuing from this to happen.

More serious than you apparently. The thing that you just can't seem to grasp is that the unions don't give a fuck about the midterm elections, nor should they. Vartitable slavery is not something they're gonna endure just so the democrats can win an election. If it's such an issue the Rail companies should cave to the Unions very reasonable demands. But you've thrown your lot in with management.

Lumen's no Republican, a Republican would give the railroads a tax break and let the wealth trickle down to the workers.

No it isn't. Republicans would strike break, push for policies to make conditions even worse, and give tax breaks that simply go into the executives' pockets, which is what always happens with neoliberal tax cuts.

These are also the same policies that Lumen would probably impose, so they're identical, not better.

The migrants were not undocumented and they did not come from Florida. The money wasn't appropriated for DeSantis to set up photo ops and press conferences about how tough on migrants he is, ergo it was misused. Open and shut case. Report waste, fraud and abuse in Florida government here.

They did... people tend to forget but they weren't just warriors out taking names, they were humanitarians, scientists, diplomats and a bunch of other things.

Maybe they think there's a shortage of workers...if so, it could be easily rectified by just doing what the unions want as I see it.
