Lets be clear here, America would totally throw down and nuke russia back, while intercepting Russian nukes over Russian soil. That changes the equation, of course. However, you'll have to be prepared to argue your case from both of these standpoints. You would need to get refugee status based on both of these circumstances, because if one fail - the country you'd seek asylum in don't believe you'd be in danger if you were to return to Cameroon, which might actually be the case in the UK, for example - you won't be recognized as a refugee.

The UK has a worrying track record when it comes to granting refugee status based on being transgender (and gay). Very worrying, and it's getting worse. Germany seems a safer option, but other countries such as Sweden might be even more safe. Regardless, choose carefully where you go, because thanks to Dublin you might only have one shot.

Wouldn't the UK be easy for her to go to anyway since Cameroon's a Commonwealth country? Ditto France with La Francophonie.

It's different if you're seeking asylum. Refugee status is costly for the countries in question, and gives the refugee certain rights and the country certain obligations, so the countries are restrictive towards recognizing people as refugees on that account.

If the question is about simply getting there, there might be easier methods available.

Kid believed it and Kid told the guys from Nawalny's team, that he would not get mobilized and that this was to be decided a bit further up - we can all imagine, what that means. If Russia wants to use tactical nukes, now is the time. Yet nothing has happened. I'm starting to think that Putin fears MAD and nuclear escalation as much as we do.

It's more that he wants to keep credibility with different sections of Russian society. NATO leaders (perhaps to their peril) seem largely blasé about Russian nuclear threats; they've been made in the past and they like will in the future, with the same results. They likely are privy to more information about Russian willingness to use nuclear weapons (or other WMD's, Russia has all three) and given corruption has permeated all levels of the Russian Armed Forces, chances are a nuclear strike could be hampered by things like guidance systems being sold off for cash.

Going back to the different sections of Russian society, Putin has a balancing act between the loud radical minority who vocally support the war and criticise him for not going further, and the majority of Russians who are ambivalent about the war so long as their lives aren't affected. Mobilisation of the "reserves" has affected the ambivalent Russian because it's either them with the potential to be dragged into a van and taken to a military base, or someone they know, be it a family member, colleague, or friend. Hence why a lot of them are getting out now: they know that being conscripted means certain death.

Putin making threats against the West is very much tied into keeping the radical section of Russian society (ultranationalists and whatnot) placated enough that they don't take matters into their own hands, while keeping the majority of Russians in their state of ambivalence. In any case, it's a lose-lose situation.

I heard something about a hack in Russia that showed the 300,000 was only the first wave and they actually want to go for a million. Not sure about the veracity of that though.
