Should Kosovo be recognized?

Kosovo is a partially-recognized country in Southeast Europe. In the 1990s, there were mass movements in Kosovo which called for the transfer of Kosovo to Albania (or at the very least, the seperation of Kosovo from Yugoslavia). This led to a war known as the Kosovo War, which eventually resulted in de facto political and economic independence from FR Yugoslavia (later Serbia, after Montenegro declared independence). In 2008, Kosovo declared independence from Serbia. Unfortunately, not all countries agreed to Kosovo's independence, most notably Serbia itself.

Most recently, following the invasion of Ukraine, tension in Kosovo rose.

So, do you think Kosovo should be a country? Explain why, or why not Kosovo should, or shouldn't be a country.

Something is yours until someone can take it from you, and I myself am an ethnic separatist, so, I guess I do recognize Kosovo. It's a beautiful corner of Europe and I've always found Albanian women attractive. I used to occasionally daydream about moving there, but there's no tech economy.

If they want to leave and join Serbia then that is their decision. It's their land, they live there. Pristina can cry about it and cope; Belgrade can do the same over the rest of Kosovo.

As I said: solidarity with all peoples seeking self-determination. Exceptions to this are limited to people who want to do what the CSA did and create a white ethnostate to protect slavery. Thankfully most independence movements aren't nearly so reactionary.
