No, police very distinctly put people in jail. Sometimes those people spend months in jail before they ever see a courtroom.

Why lie? And even if we presume you're correct and nobody is ever put in a cell without a court process, there are still people in cells who did nothing wrong.

It's not the police officer's fault that they're police officers? I mean, I might think they're awful, but at least I don't think they're that stupid.

"Police officers do not possess free will" is truly a new argument, although one that's just plain idiotic.

Part of the judicial system is pre trial detention, where the police arrest you and put you in jail unless you are rich enough to afford bail. You can sit in pre trial detention for months before your trial.

Cops have an unfortunate tendency to brutalize other civilians, at times to the point of death. Honestly, they're so trigger happy, I'd consider their presence at the scene of a break in to be a greater risk to the home owner than anything.

Then why, with my many interactions with cops, have I never been harmed, mentally, or physically?

Are you using an anecdote to dismiss all the innocent people that have been harmed by police?

Dude.

You can find HUNDREDS of video's if you search "Police Illegally Enter Home", "Police shoot and Kill Perosns Pet", "Police Illegally Detain Individial", etc on youtube. Even "Police demand ID from citizen when no crime is commited then arrets them for refusing to show ID" returns hundreds upon hundreds of video's online.

They don't care about you. All they care about is upping their arrest numbers and throwing more citizens into prisons for petty, bullshit "crimes".

"No one I know has been murdered, therefore murder doesn’t exist."

8 out 10 people subjected to stop and frisk at its height in NYC were innocent. In DC 5% led to a gun seizure and only 9% led to drug seizures. Sure does sound like cops stop and search a bunch of innocent people.
