We spent the pandemic risking our lives and working in hazardous conditions to make the rich wealthier and to help companies see record profits. And didn't get a damn thing for it. Essential workers isn't a bullshit term. Essential workers are devoted people who served our country during its rough times of a pandemic plague. We rarely appreciate those workers; many of them getting paid little for the large, and important jobs they do.
