Gravlen wrote:In Vanessa Bryant v. County of Los Angeles, the county is arguing that because SCOTUS overturned Roe v. Wade, families of victims don't have constitutional privacy rights regarding photos - so it's not illegal to show them off at bars.

The case revolves around how people within law enforcement long have photographed gory deaths for personal entertainment and because they “want something special to show their friends.” Vanessa Bryant have filed suit claiming a violation of privacy after a deputy had showed photos of the corpse of Kobe Bryant and their deceased daughters to bar patrons and a firefighter had showed them to off-duty colleagues.

Seems to me there is an easy solution, namely that cops who waste taxpayer money taking private photos of individuals while on duty should be fired. Either the shots are evidence and so not private property, or the cops are wasting taxpayer money.

Well those three were instrumental in passing important cases, Vass. Surely by now you understand how the Supreme Court works.

Vass this seems pretty obvious to me but, American Legionaries supports the positions those trump appointed judges hold. As such he thinks it is praise worthy that Trump had them appointed.

We've got to let the lower courts do their Bruen thing, and we need to let Newsom seethe for a while.

One of those was Obama’s seat to fill but McConnell refused to allow a vote because apparently the new precedent is you only get a Supreme Court pick if your party controls the Senate.

Even putting aside your short sighted vindictiveness, how much praise does Trump actually deserve for that? For two he happened to be in the right place at the right time, and the other one is more on McConnell and the other republican legislators.

That’s more or less been the precedent since the 90’s, SCOTUS picks have been partisan for a long while now.

I guess that means it wasn't Obama's seat to fill.

The guy would have been a better president than Biden if he's done nothing except appoint those three justices, and snort cocaine off an over-the-hill porno actress laid out on the Resolute desk.

Shit, if that's all he'd done, he'd be a better president than himself tbh.

The point GMS was originally making is, you guys expect me and us to strongly criticize Trump, but you guys never praise Trump, we are even.

That doesn’t make him a legend. Why not extend that to all appointments? Would it be ok if Democrats did that to a Republican president or Governor?

Standing up for what's right is always the best choice.

And no, it wouldn't.

The GOP hasn’t done that since the days when they supported the abolition of slavery
