The US is about 40% Republican, 60% Democratic. So if he is tried and a jury convicts then the prosecutor will have to convince the Republicans on that jury.

Even in a US court of law, there are times when a jury cant decide guilty or not guilty, after hearing the same so called evidence. We know lawyers try to get jurors appointed who agree with their case. It is hard to get an honest impartial jury for a Republican in Washington DC.

Both sides get to de-select jurors during voir dire. Both try to select a jury sympathetic to their case.

So I reiterate the question. Would you accept the result of a jury trial?

The IRS isn't expanding its agents by a huge amount, its expanding it's auditors. Along with expanding its IT and customer service so that the IRS is better able to handle peoples taxes.

The numbers that are being thrown around also appear to include normal turnover, not new positions.

As the IRS has lost income it has increased audit rates of lower income people, that is true. But this is the result of the IRS not having the resources to audit those with higher incomes. Audit rates still remain higher for high income earners compared to middle and low income earners.

Problem becomes the far reaching implications. If I take a photo of my family and happen to catch you hanging brain in the background, am I violating your privacy by showing my family to friends? if a photo I take legally isn't my property to do with what I want, that means I'm legally liable for anything I photograph, no matter how innocuous.
