"essential workers" is still a bullshit term now that looks like it's still being used to endorse and spout anti-worker bullshit.

Essential workers isn't a bullshit term. Essential workers are devoted people who served our country during its rough times of a pandemic plague. We rarely appreciate those workers; many of them getting paid little for the large, and important jobs they do.

And because of not being appreciated they are striking.

You’d be laughed at by reporters and your colleagues on the city council or in the state legislature would chastise you and want nothing to do with you. It’s unlikely you’d make it to the general. You’d probably lose the primary.

No, they're underpaid, overworked, and underappreciated workers who are treated like shit by their bosses and don't make a living wage. Don't make it sound like some heroic thing, because it's not. And I'm speaking from the experience of being one of those so-called "essential workers"

It’s ironic we don’t appreciate them until we don’t have a lot of them. We never appreciated the supply chain until the workers who kept the chain working were gone.

I think that term fits.

The only time I really want to see 'essential workers' is in phrases like "in recognition of the essential duties these workers perform, their compensation will be increasing as well as hiring initiatives to prevent understaffing and accommodate mandatory one month paid vacations"

Fuck the economy, I would love to see every single working class American go on a general strike and really shut down the economy for real. Because shit doesn't get done when the workers stop working, and it's about time the capitalists get that slap across their face.
Yes there were always persons working, but many stores, restaurants and hotels closed during the virus crisis, many became unemployed and the leftist politicians, VIPs and Leftist Media blamed Trump, these are facts.
Yes. Cause Trump either downplayed or distracted people during that time, while also spreading lies and falsehoods about the pandemic! THAT’S THE REALITY!

It was the kids in the supermarkets - especially in the early days - I felt the most sorry for. Going through all that for a shitty paycheck and virtually no-existent benefits. Naturally they are totally forgotten.

And without support of the legislature or council nothing is getting done. There is no way they’d win a primary or general election after comments and actions like that.
