I am utterly confused on how any military tactics work at all. I don't even understand Ancient war tactics, so I hope someone will explain to me how in a more simplified or very detailed but readable and not boring way, of how WW2 Generals for example how did: Planned offensives, logistics, knowing the right amount of troops, supplies, what the enemy has in the area, etc. So, does anybody know, how rather these would be found out and how the plan would be conducted?
