not really, more like the country would descend into civil war if succession becomes unclear and the allegiance council can't make a decision. rival princes would duke it out, local tribes would gradually become warlord states, shias would revolt in the eastern province, the houthis would invade, al-qaeda in the arabian peninsula would invade, it would become an absolute clusterfuck.

None of which matter, since Russia is a treaty ally of Iran. Seeing as how the world is letting Ukraine burn, how gung ho do you think they will be when it comes to backing up the Saudi's? A nation I add admitted to killing Jamal Khashoggi, and grinding his body up into little bits? Ukraine won't cause WW3, the U.S. leaving the Middle East right now would...
