Chrome is gradually losing popularity from what I have read. In my country, only about half of people use it is seems.

I'm the one person that still uses SeaMonkey regularly, whether I'm on Linux or Windows. I prefer how it doesn't try to dumb things down, and Composer is nice too. Plus, as the direct lineal successor to Netscape Navigator, I have hipster points in spades and use the Netscape 6 theme for even more.
If I can't use SeaMonkey, I'll either use Classilla (Mac OS 9 through 10.2.8‎), Mypal/Firefox 48 (Windows 2000/ReactOS) or TenFourFox (Mac OS X Tiger and Leopard). I'm somewhat concerned about moving over to ppc64le but classichasclass has ported over Firefox, so it can be done.

I use Chrome on my laptop, and Edge on public computers. Used to use Safari when I was on a Mac, then moved to Firefox, and then moved to Chrome.

All niche browsers, which have less than 1% market share. A niche browser can occasionally have problems with websites depending on how similar or different it is to mainstream browsers. Most websites code themselves to work with whichever browsers currently have the most market share, because that is what the majority of all visitors will be using. So it is most economical to focus on making sure most of your visitors can use your website flawlessly. But its usually not viable to code for every current/ongoing browser that exists out there.

A little bit about each:

Vivaldi- A fork of Opera- a mainstream browser that has just 2% market share (globally). Intended for general users, but is mainly targeted towards technically-inclined users as well as former Opera users disgruntled by its transition from the Presto layout engine to a Chromium-based browser that resulted in the loss of many of its iconic features. Vivaldi intends to revive the features of the Presto-based Opera with its own proprietary modifications.

Waterfox- A fork of Firefox- a mainstream browser that has 3% market share (globally). Intended to be for users who want to use legacy extensions which were dropped by Firefox.

Yandex- A web browser developed by Russian technology company Yandex. Uses Blink engine with a Chromium open source base for its software. Has 21% market share within the Russian Federation but isn't big anywhere else.

I am a big Opera fan the sidebar makes talking on Facebook so easy and the video PIP mode has so many more features than any browser other than Vivaldi.

I started using Firefox many moons ago, when this iteration of the browser wars were just beginning, and give or take a bit of dabbling with Opera, I've just stuck with Firefox. Does the job.

Yeah it is

"Tor" is just a protocol/software that redirects your (TCP) internet connections. Sure, there is also "Tor Browser" but that's just Firefox with a Tor plugin and modified settings to enhance privacy. In fact, there used to be a Tor addon that you could just install directly in Firefox. It's also possible to use Tor with any other browser (through setting the browser's SOCKS proxy, though that might come with some privacy risks due to DNS), or even "transparently" by having your router pipe all requests through Tor (and block UDP).

Mostly Firefox though I sometimes use Edge.

I think Chrome is objectively the best, but I got so used to Safari back in the day that it's my go-to. Just force of habit, I suppose.

On my mobile phone, Ecosia. On my PC, Mozilla Firefox. For work, MS Edge.

Overall, I'm more likely to choose Firefox.

Microsoft Egde, however don't bully me. I keep Safari, Internet Explorer, and Firefox as reminders of the past and what once was...however, Safari is still used and Firefox including Internet Explorer really never had their own tabs or amount of information, and were more tied to their parent companies browsers. (Internet Explorer, Firefox sucked when it came to the Tabs).

Neon Lunar Eclipse wrote:Browsers. Everyone has one. Some prefer one over another, others just use whatever they are given. So what browser do you use? Is there a specific reason why you use it?

When I bought my first computer back in 2011, it came with Internet Explorer installed, but I didn't like it and quickly switched to Mozilla Firefox, which everyone said was better. I liked it a lot better than Explorer because it was faster, more customizable, and safer. But I switched to Chrome in 2019 because Firefox was getting slower and glitchier as time went on. I still use Google Chrome today because it is fast, easy to use, and offers easy access to Google's other services. I never cared for Microsoft Edge because when I tried it it was so slow.

Sadly, very good chance they purposely ruined older browsers that some people really love, use, or want to use...
