I know. But this kind of an FYI for the Pro-Life crowd. Overturning Roe and criminalizing abortion alone is insufficient for any ways to reduce abortion rates.

So does this mean that abortions aren't allowed at any point and not that whole "heartbeat at 6 weeks" thing? Cause I have some questions pertaining to the act at 1276 weeks.

The fact you seem to think the female ability to bear life is just an obstacle for women to overcome tells me no such argument, to your mind, could exist. So I won't even attempt it.

I mean, 95% of abortions are not surgery procedures anyway. When they occur in the first trimester, it's taking a pill and the fetus basically being a worse period.

There's gotta be one state or territory out there that allows them past 40 weeks. Surely there is.

It's honestly the only way to settle this dispute once and for all. Abortion banned. Mass sterilization. Biologically engineered humans a la Gattaca. But then we'd end up with some horrible disfigured guy who hates humans and travels back 1000 years in time to rule the world. Very tough decisions all around.

As always it comes down to culture and society. That said something tells me a lot of people wouldn't like proposed solutions to get our culture to a point where abortion is, broadly, not necessary save for cases that threaten the woman's life and other such issues, since in all likelihood those solutions would depend on a return to more family-oriented communities that destress individualistic enterprise in favour of a more corporatist social construct. As it stands, the existing models for such a social organisation have long been criticised as fascist, patriarchal tyrannies.

So I'd imagine for a lot of conservatives who consider these possibilities, the reality seems rather bleak, since the people who are in favour of access to abortion are also philosophically in favour of the social and economic conditions that make that access, for lack of a better word, necessary.

how is pregnancy forced? the only way i could see it forced is if a fertility doctor worked on an unwilling patient, but even then they don't really "force" conception to happen, they just make it more likely. it's like trying to force someone's hair to grow.
