"We could use a little nuclear war. Spice life up"
Ok, so you don't understand the consequences.
Also, I was asking Port Caverton but whatever

01/15/1583 2000 GST: The trial for the murder of Faurgamu Reiks, the former head of National Revival who had connections to the terrorist group the Harjis Witoth, comes to a conclusion. Both Awareik Fairgunein and Hawi Marthal were convicted of second-degree murder. The public has a mixed response, with some agreeing with the sentencing and others believing the killing was justified. Presiding judge Aiktriu K. Kam responds, "I stand with the law, not public opinion."

The nukes are for deterrence, actually.
If Russia wants to kill millions of people unnecessarily that's on them.

I'm relatively certain you've advocated for nuking various countries as well.
But in any case, that is exactly what would happen - Russia would probably start a nuclear war. They're desperate. When you start playing these games of escalation, you are asking for further escalation - especially in this sort of circumstance. It won't matter whose fault it is when nuclear war breaks out, because we will all be dead.

Hey it's not our fault Russian leaders are bloodthirsty when we place deterrents.
Also China and India would likely remain intact, they will lose people afterwards due to famines, but they will continue to exist.

I'm not sure you understand the consequences of a large-scale nuclear exchange. Or even a limited nuclear exchange.

"It's not our fault"
Again, "who started it" is a meaningless topic. If you take an action that you know will lead to catastrophe, it is your fault, because everyone suffers.

That would be completely Russia's fault in this case since they would kill millions of people for no long term gain. Hell, no short term gain as well.

"We all died in a thermonuclear exchange but hey, at least I proved that the Russians are the real baddies!"
