Did a similar thing after changing out of my band uniform after a parade… my group wanted to go to the beach after a performance, and I had forgotten sandals. However, I also did not want to get my shoes ruined. You can guess what my decision was.

Not sure if I should be glad or disappointed that now that I actually own portable AC unit, summer is cool enough/not hot enough to not need it.
