Applying for more PhD programs and some jobs. Also looked at pharmacy school (don't have the pre-requisites) and medical school (missed the deadline).

I wonder if I was in over my head applying for a doctorate. Maybe I just should have started job-hunting from the get-go.

Speaking of job-hunting, I'm having flashbacks to the summer of 2021 where I literally made myself sick with stress and they thought there was something wrong with my gallbladder or spleen.

Important question, how many jobs can I have at once while being a full time student and surviving? I've been having disagreements about this.

So this post and my last post were supposed to be one post, but I broke the quote threading somehow and am too tired to figure out how to fix it like I normally can.

As many as you feel comfortable with.

Look at how your life is now. If you think you have space for an extra job(or extra hours on a job you already have) , take it.

Relax, take a deep breath, you have another day to wallow.

Think about what you want to do, then look for another program or job opportunity that affords that path

Depends on the hours, and if you have an opportunity to study.

The hour count is more important than the job count

The question is whether I could do 30 hours a week, while also studying. A friend of mine, who notably doesn't have to work, thinks it's totally doable.

30 is a lot of hours, off the bat. The sheep gives good advice, ramp up to it

I think I probably could do it, but my grades would get substantially worse and I'd have to quit the debate team, which would also suck. Although it probably won't get me a good job after college anyway. But at the same time I've been able to handle a job job and internship right now too.

I really don't know and it's hard to take advice from someone who doesn't have to work. :lol2:

For me The amount of work between an A and a B was a lot. From a F to a B, not really much at all. I graduated with a 3.0 average

I pretty much worked full time during school. Mainly for the money to well.. piss large amounts away, that I don't regret a second of.

If you are planning on grad school, the grades count more. In the business world, grades are meaningless after your first job.

I'm not even sure about the grad school. I want to do it just because no one will ever believe that a philosophy major can be an engineer ( :( ) but I don't know how much philosophy grades would even matter. I'll probably take the risk of more work, then.

Not really, but I'm going to add a double major to hopefully help.

Got to love unexpected car repairs! Check engine light came on and she also needed an oil change, so I went to the mechanic to get that taken care of. During the complimentary vehicle inspection, found out the rear shock was leaking and needed to be replaced. That was 60% of the repair costs today. All this so that I can have my car inspected and get it transferred to Nevada. Found out that the DMV here only does appointments for that sort of thing. Now, here's the issue: Nevada requires me to complete the task of getting my Nevada driver's license and registration within 30 days of moving to Nevada. The Nevada DMV's soonest appointment is day 42 since I moved to Nevada. Now, what is a boy to do? Also, Nevada is weird. They have a VIN inspection that has to be done. Like, that doesn't require an appointment. You just rock up to the DMV and go to the VIN inspection(inspector) and have it done. So, why can't I do that with transferring everything over?

Oh, well, I hope everyone had a good Friday and I hope Kannap finally sleeps.

Throne willing, Kannap did manage to call it a day.
