I wonder if they use M16s still in boot. Back when I was in boot we used the M16 but that was prior to the M4 being used for combat units

Pretty sure its just Army Reserves at msot. Might just be Army National Gaurd.

I think they are still used in boot for training so they get a feel for their rifle, but I know for a fact I saw them on NG during the 2020 Riots.
