I don't understand why Savile or Cosby are even on this list though. Everything else is orders beyond the things they are accused of! John Wayne Gacy raped and murdered 30+ young boys.
Michael Skakel raped, then beat and stabbed to death a young women and i don't even know where to begin with the Junko Furata Case... just ugh! :'/

To answer seriously, Ferdinand and Imelda Marcos unjustly imprisoned 70,000 tortured 35,000, killed several thousands and forcibly disappeared maybe a hundred or so people (that we know of) during the 20-year rule of the conjugal dictatorship. They also stole over $10 billion, and despite the family's overthrow several billion dollars is still unclaimed, the clan still has a strong grip over their home province and Marcos Jr. was literally allowed to run despite having outstanding tax bills and the family having an estate tax bill of over 203 billion pesos ($3.8 billion). He won, and his family's revival has been thoroughly cemented.

Fuck that family. If the Philippines had the death penalty I would be very much in favor of putting most of the clan – those that were directly responsible for and benefited from the unjust imprisonments, tortures, deaths and disappearances and theft of public funds during the dictatorship and continued to support the family, deny the atrocities and hoard the family's wealth following their overthrow ~ on trial with the harshest sentence of death being a potential punishment, at least for the heads of the clan (which means probably just Imelda, Junior and Imee), and only if they refuse to give up every single peso they every stole (adjusted for inflation and with interest). Destitution or the death penalty is a good choice for the family, I think.

The thing with Savile is not that he got away with it, but that everyone else did. The British establishment (upper-middle classes) is absolutely packed with nonces - of all political stripes. Sexual exploitation of working class children is just the fucking norm in that country.

Yeah these really bring to light the levels of cruelty that people are capable of. Also I agree with your statement about the Junko Furata Case, it is just to cruel and sickening to process

Normally I wouldn't give my opinions on these things, but they are all sickening, and it's terrible that they (and in some cases) the people around them were the ones to get away with it.
