You always could just jump in the dish-pit. It's shit work, but your colleagues will appreciate you for it immensely. Everybody feeds you, the work is completely brainless. Payed pretty well too.

problem?

That..that's about it."

One could go on a begging tour across Europe and Asia
Then vlog ones story across cam and social media platforms
Add some narcotics distribution and other crime to spice things up
Start up multiple MLM schemes
Retail would be beneath me Though

I can’t give a reasonable answer because it’s truly too depressing and horrific.

To think that IRL some people have truly fallen to such depths that one of these 5 jobs is their reality 365 days a year. This is not something I can wrap my mind around.

I already busk, so...it's not really begging as much as it's offering an opportunity to tip me for the music you didn't ask for.
"...I have been gravely disappointed with the white moderate. I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in the stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Council-er or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who prefers a negative peace which is the absence of tension to a positive peace which is the presence of justice; who constantly says "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I can't agree with your methods of direct action;" who paternalistically feels he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by the myth of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait until a "more convenient season." -MLK Jr.

I mean, you could probably put Cam on your resume. I don't recommend it but you could.

It can't be that bad, knowing that you're a leading figure in that field

It wasn't that bad when I was starting out in the field over 30 years ago; and obviously I was reasonably successful.

But it's fairly dismal now, and I would struggle to recommend archaeology as a career path to someone starting out in 2022.

I think it's pretty easy to wrap your head around.
But yeah, if I end up at option number one (full-time) I will find myself a peaceful definitive way out. I'm not saying this in a pity-me sort of way but in a happy-escape sort of way. Can't work if you can't work.

MLM, no doubt. I get to meet lots of rich housewives, some of whom are surely interesting people, and have the thrill of selling them shit. I do pretty good at selling shit, and the only reason I haven't already done MLM is that it involves recruiting people to be "below" me as a required part of the gig, and I think that's a hurdle that will only interfere with the chance of making sales. I strongly prefer standard sales, where you sell the person The Thing and get your money in exchange, and that's that.

Begging - Second choice. I think it'd be boring, though. People will either throw money at you, ignore you, or throw insults. I can do without the latter.

Cam - I've actually thought of doing this, lol, but never went ahead with it. I think my IRL chances of success at it are probably abysmal. But for the scenario, what the hey...all of the really gnarly stuff is apparently done with props, and I get a body that will draw more customers than my real one - and most importantly, I don't have to deal with any of these perverts in person!

Crime and Walmart - These are the last choices, and I wouldn't sign up for either of them. They represent the two kinds of jobs I've hated the most: Packing, and Retail. For the crime one: Packing, is packing, is packing. I couldn't care less what the product is. It's hellishly boring, the speed demands are always insanely high, the size of the packages is always way too small to work with well (note how this collides with the "speed demands" aspect), and frankly, I suck at it. Hard. This would not be changed by the fact that I'd be packing up ooooh, drugs. Forget it. They can pack their own!

For Walmart - I've worked there IRL. It sucked hard. They managed to suck more than most retail, and that's saying something. In just the couple of months I was there, I had to remind them of labor law several times to keep them from trying to steal my breaks, lock me in after hours, and other similar things they ended up getting fined for a few years later. I wouldn't sign up for another hit. The over-the-top manager in the scenario is what their real managers wish they could be. I have zero patience for that sort of thing, which is one of the very reasons I hated the actual job. Nope, nope, nope - not touching it any more than I would do the packing.

I have to add that many of the jobs in this list will pay a lot more than Walmart's base rate if you know what you're doing or have the savvy to advance yourself into the lead position.
