admittedly a personal thing, but i don't like the inoffensive. his ability to appeal to many blocs of voters comes at the cost of seeming to have no principles or conviction and frankly being a bit boring. boris, say what you will, is not boring.
ask moderation about reading serious moderation candidates TGs without telling them about it until afterwards and/or apparently refusing to confirm/deny the exact timeline of TG reading ~~~ i hope you never sent any of the recent mods or the ones that got really close anything personal!

Contradictive as it seems, I don't mind boring when it comes to politicians. I'd rather my pilot be boring and competent than bombastic and destructive. I guess the caveat, and maybe this applies to Keir (I don't know enough to say), is that their policies ought not to be boring and stale.

Well, he is inoffensive to the point of sitting idly on a fense. On several occasions I could only describe Keir's Labour as a Block Party of the Tories.
Hell, Tory internal opposition bloody begged Labour to do some actual opposition work.
Keir also opposed the recent strikes, and forbade back-benchers to join the striking workers...
Well, you could say that one was not inoffensive for once, but outragiously offensive instead. Turned into a bloody Scab.

The Murdoch media have never given any Labour leader an easy ride, apart from Tony Blair. Now that people get their 'news' from social media, half the population probably believe Starmer is an alien out to inject them with microchips shaped like scorpions.

This is most certainly not an endorsement of Starmer however I agree in that I do not believe politicians ought to have effervescent personalities. They are representatives and servants of the public and to some extent to the crown, certainly once in government. The clue is in their names, as 'secretaries of state'. Their original role was to manage affairs for the crown. Even the prime minister was originally merely a glorified clerk, albeit elected.

Well there goes his incel support.

Speaking after the G7 summit of wealthy nations in Bavaria, Mr Johnson gave an interview to German broadcaster ZDF.

While speaking about gender equality and the importance of education, he said "you need more women in positions of power".

"If Putin was a woman, which he obviously isn't, but if he were, I really don't think he would've embarked on a crazy, macho war of invasion and violence in the way that he has," Mr Johnson said.

"If you want a perfect example of toxic masculinity, it's what he's doing in Ukraine."

Mr Johnson's comments about Russia's president echo those he made during a roundtable discussion with G7 leaders at a meeting in Germany earlier this week.

I think the logical explanation is that Boris spent the G7 summit doing cocaine with Trudeau.

It is peculiar that that is their priority as statesmen. To be seen as 'chill'. Imagine showing our forebears images of politicians taking selfies complete with gaping mouths with their colleagues, they would suppose them mentally ill.

Yes. Albeit the only reason Flintenuschi (Von Der Leyen) is there is because the CDU had to get rid of her for her incompetence.
