Also just going to point out something that is darkly interesting to me. Lumen is doing exactly what the terrorist in New Zealand wanted, his manifesto directly says he chose NZ for the attack because you never hear about it in the news, and he knew they'd pass new laws after the shooting which would then be used as an example by American liberals who don't know much about the topic of what should be done here and draw our society closer to the breaking point because of how big of a cultural thing it is to so many people.

This is not surprising. It's called population growth. And, possibly, better statistics.

And yet the culture of the US still hasn’t changed sure you might have more people talking about it but the US still has issues with racism.

Oh, I'd say it's got worse in some respects. People feel increasingly able to say the quiet parts out loud, for example.

But I'm sure the actual level of institutional racism reduced significantly between 1990 and 2010, let alone from 1950 to 1980. Even if the people might not be better, they often want to be better, if only you give them a chance to see they're being bad. And the natural result is better policy.

Some just like to hunt, for sport. Others hunt to eat what they've hunted because the meat would be a nice meal. Some might need to hunt to make food, in more remote areas (though this would be a harder thing to do unless you are nowhere near a market or are not raising crops and livestock).

I mean, there are plenty of reasons to hunt. It's a thing humans have been doing for millennia.

And you don't even need a gun in the first place, you can use things like bows and whatnot.
