That'd be pretty damn awesome tbh.

No it wouldn’t but this is coming from someone who wants a state electoral college.

Please enlighten us what about the current state of this country is working?

We could fix this by changing the constitution and making all 50 states 6 territories and DC fully independent and under a voluntary treaty of shared defense and currency. More like the EU.

We literally have 1 of 2 major parties taken over by extremists and the other party with too many "Moderates" to do anything.

Sure it would, anyone who campaigned on the policy of spending every day trying to deprive the state assembly of quorum would have my vote, and my time and energy campaigning for them besides.

Oddly enough I as an American citizen do not wish to see the country break apart into over 50+ nations. Especially considering my state Alabama’s economy could take a huge hit and things can get very difficult. And yes this nation has many problems but we shall overcome not by dissolving the union.

Feds are going to enforce emergency cuts to keep Hoover & Glen Canyon's generating capability online; Colorado River states now have less than sixty days to sort out new allocations amongst themselves. I think this might've gotten missed when it got announced, but looks like growing alfalfa and rice in the desert may become a thing of the past pretty soon.

We have discussed this back and forth on these American Politics threads, but we can discuss it again, we have such a thread on NS, I think it expired.

Uni is an experience. It’s not programming as the republicans declare. Hell I once had a raging Marxist for an economics professor. The guy would debate you to no end. And yet? When it came to the grades he judged the work rather then the ideology behind it.

The bill makes a survey asking if people feel comfortable expressing their political beliefs.

Which I think can backfire if Left leaning people feel like they can’t express themselves then maybe a victory for Liberals etc can be found in this.

You are assuming they even care about that. I would say if the liberals said they were uncomfortable; it would be dismissed as some liberal effort to skew the results. Now if said surveys will have “I is oppressed for being religious/conservative…..” there will be efforts to “correct” it.

Thank fuck. Fucking dumbasses.

Who thought it was a brilliant idea to grow the most water intensive crops in the desert anyway? Besides we don’t even use the alfalfa but ship it to KSA for their cows.

Curses.

You know if Alabama was independent it could pull a regime change on an independent Florida…

How do you know it wasn’t read? In California only a simple majority is needed in the legislature. Oregon is two thirds which most states don’t do.

Not to worry. I think the Floridians have better reading comprehension skills. :p
