It feels like a clever mover. He is attempting to deliberately lower the value of Twitter so that he might renegotiate the price he actually purchases Twitter in. The value currently collapsed to $36 a share

Except market manipulation like that is highly illegal.

It’s very hard to prove that though. You’d have to confirm weather or not the twitter bots are as high as Musk claims. If they are then it’s very likely that Twitter would be in legal trouble not Musk for inflating the value of their company.

The thing I find weird about the price negotiation theory is that Musk's original price, the one the deal was set at, was an over-valuation to start with. If we turn to Google's share prices...



it turns out that Twitter has basically only been in excess of the price Musk pulled out of his arse for most of 2021 and a brief period in 2014.
