Tech Crunch claims that the Irish Data Protection Commission is questioning Twitter about this. We'll have to wait and see if this goes anywhere. A couple of years ago the DPC fined Twitter €450,000, which is pennies to Twitter, but every penny Twitter loses is more Tesla stock Musk will have to sell.

He seems to be, I don't post on Twitter but I do scroll it as it was a handy newsfeed and links to interesting tech articles.. but now my feed is dominating by right wing hacks screaming blue murder about whatever pointless issue they're currently fixated on. The data out there suggests that Elon Musk is rich primarily because of leverage. He had a lot of money he inherited from emerald mines to start some businesses and invest at the right time, so he made exponentially more money from that which wouldn't be the case, had he initially not of had enough capital and a plan that worked out. Notably, he didn't found Tesla, he's the one that forced the real founders of that company out.

Leverage gets you a higher return than if you're not able to borrow/source more money to artificially "pump up" a project or enterprise. But the big risk is that if it goes belly up, you usually can't pay the debts back.
