First of all, the Bismarck was the largest battleship built in Europe (if I remember correctly, might only be largest battleship built in Germany). The largest battleship overall is either the Yamato-class, if we go by displacement, or the Iowa-class, if we go by length.
Second, yes, the thing with the Swordfishes happened - they were too slow to be tracked by the Bismarck's AA-guns' firing computers - and yes, at the beginning of the famous Last Battle of the Bismarck, two DDs, HMS Maori and ORP Piorun, sighted her. Piorun charged at the Bismarck, neither side scoring hits as they traded fire for an hour and the Pole did indeed signal that messege, though only once - either that, or the Pole broke off after the third salvo and pulled away once a shell of the Bismarck got a tad too close. In another version of the story, they sent "Trzy salwy na cześć Polski" ("Three salvoes in honour of Poland").

While we are at WW2, though: Operation Fortitude, the allied deceptions before the landings in Normandy. How far their success actually went is still up for debate, but there is the story, that, after sleeping in and learning of the Invasion, Hitler held back the armoured divisions in France, believing the Normandy Landings to be a diversions for the actual assault on Europe across the Dover Strait.

For those wondering, this is how he died (from Wikipedia):

On September 2, 1791, while he was in London, Kotzwara visited a prostitute named Susannah Hill in Vine Street, Westminster. After dinner with her in her lodgings, Kotzwara paid her two shillings and requested that she cut off his testicles. Hill refused to do so. Kotzwara then tied a ligature around the doorknob, the other end fastened around his neck, and proceeded to have sexual intercourse with Hill. After it was over, Kotzwara was dead. His is one of the first recorded deaths from erotic asphyxiation.[3]

Susannah Hill was charged with Kotzwara's murder, and tried on September 16 at the Old Bailey. She was acquitted, as the jury accepted her testimony about the nature of Kotzwara's death. The court records of the case were supposedly destroyed in order to avoid a public scandal, though it is likely that some kind of copy was made. It is believed that this copy was used to produce a pamphlet about the incident, including Hill's account of the event.[4] A 2005 radio competition organised by the Radio Prague station led a listener to reveal that these court records had in fact not been destroyed, and somehow found their way to the Francis Countway Library of Medicine in Boston.

Bolivia is easily explained.

It only became a landlocked country after the 1879-1883 War of the Pacific which pitted Chile against a Peru-Bolivia alliance. One of the outcomes of the peace treaty was Bolivia's loss of its coastal Departamento del Litoral to Chile.

Since then, Bolivia has maintained a right to a sovereign outlet to the sea, and maintains a navy in part in recognition of its claim to maritime access - though it's also worth noting that it also maintains a naval presence on Lake Titicaca, the largest lake in South America, so it's not all nationalist chest-thumping symbolism.
