Wouldn't be Russia, it would be Ukraine going in on Transnistria and Russia trying to bail them out. The Black Sea Fleet has been loitering near Odessa and those areas so it seems like they're ready to try a landing if Ukraine does attack, which would likely end terribly for the Russians.

Furthermore, people more apathetic towards Ukraine are seeing considerable success in polling and are winning the support of the right people in the GOP, J.D. Vance is the first example of this that comes to mind.

Trust me, you can't just simplify a constituency down to its lowest common denominator. If what you're saying was true, he'd have a strong Republican primary challenger—which he doesn't... The numbers show it's a rather solid Republican seat and it's not going to buck the Republican environment expected in 2022 because of one vote regarding Ukraine.
