I don't care and neither should anyone else. Again, you're attacking across the most illogical possible planes. Pro-life is propaganda, it tells you nothing about the opinions a person holds on the death penalty, war, organ donation the environment or anything else you might be talking about when you talk about life. Same as pro-choice, the names are solely indicators of a person's stance on abortion and they're tied to broadly positive concepts like choice and life solely for marketing reasons and identifying one possible way being anti abortion isn't supporting all possible lives doesn't actually achieve anything

I never cease to be amazed by Vass' ability to make the other side look reasonable. Let's talk about this GOP senate candidate, Blake Masters. He's a venture capitalist from Tuscon, whose policies are too radical for the GOP. Yep, you read that right, even the Republicans think that's a step to extreme.

But let's pretend that he somehow wins; he'd then have to convince 59 other senators to pass his bill. The Ottawa Senators are more likely to win the Stanley Cup. But let's say he does that, now the bill still has to pass through Congress, and signed by the president. Ok, so now that happened, we're now at 0.000002% odds, now it goes up against the Right to Privacy. It gets slaughtered. The odds of the scenario where condoms being banned takes place are insanely low. "A king's home is a king's castle" is the Republican tagline, and if someone comes a looking for condoms in that castle... although it would make a great, erm, creative movie, I'm just not seeing it.

So don't worry gang, you can use your condoms, they're perfectly safe. Actually they're not. This is America, the land that ran out of toilet paper, so you might want to stock up on condoms, in case there's a run on for condoms in stores. Ah, the Great American Condom Panic, started by NSG, we live in interesting times.

And if Blake Masters runs for president, here's his running mate: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQw4w9WgXcQ

see, it's not just blake masters who wants to junk griswold because evil

I was taught cursive as well. I have never been able to use it faster than printing. I understand that some people can, but I can't help but feel it's super overrated in that regard.

Given that the whole purpose of cursive script is to be easily and quickly written with a writing device with a continual flow (like a paint can) Yes, double yes, specifically because it's a paint can, yes.

We've already been over this. Abortion is regrettable, but it's not murder and banning it is cruel and is going to get people killed. The only solution to abortion is to accept and promote contraceptives. This is not the Middle Ages. The church was wrong to influence civil laws then and it's wrong to influence civil laws now. The church is here to teach, not to enforce, and using civil law to enforce it's will is a corruption of it's purpose.

Well, since you're clearly the central holder of truth above the Church, I don't see what you need the Church for.

And the Church teaches that abortion is murder.

the Church’s word isn’t God’s word. in fact, the Bible values the life of a woman over the life of an unborn fetus, suggests that fetuses created in an extra-marital affair should be aborted (against the mother’s will), and implies that a human is only alive after its first breath.

Arsonists aren’t some kind of professional class of criminal. It could have been that they just made a shitty Molotov that didn’t work properly and the fire wasn’t sustained for one reason or another.

And they didn't feel the need to damage anything else or make any other kind of mess. Didn't break any other windows or even knock anything off a desk. Just lit a small fire under the window they entered and presumably left by.

Anyway, instead of all of us playing armchair detective we can wait for the actual evidence to come in.

Which is to say, suspend judgement indefinitely, because most likely there is nothing more to discover than what is evident already. It's unlikely that the cops are going to arrest anyone. And probably we'll all have forgotten this in a week anyway.

I'm going to need to see more proof than just "unelectable senatorial candidate said something" in order to take that at face value.

You got it, chief. Current Missouri law could ban not only abortion, but also the morning-after pill and IUDs.
Regarding Roe, Mississippi passed a law specifically to challenge Roe, and there was numerous litigation from other states around the issue. It wasn't just "some unelectable dude said so!"

Okay?

Why not? It’s a pro life organization.

I'm not asking about the motive, I'm asking how a pro-choice vandal would even know about this place and think it worth vandalising? I'm sure Madison has some GOP offices that would make a more plausible target.

It's not really illogical to say pro-life supporters are not considering the life of the woman in all aspects.

Perhaps we should be more nuanced than simply using these phrases then.

All politics are local. Just because you aren't familiar with Madison doesn't mean the locals aren't. Naturally the local arsonist would have much more knowledge of the area and ability to select targets pursuant to that knowledge.
