Australia. Better climate, and with the added benefit of reversed seasons so I can visit home when it's summer here without losing any there.

I can go to the beach on Christmas and I live the northern hemisphere.

Granted I live in a desert and Southern California is right next door so it’s a nice 75 on Christmas in San Diego

Nope.

You can get to mountains over 2000 m in elevation by a short drive from Melbourne or Sydney.

Acceptable mountains begin when their summit is at least over 3000 m.
Serious stuff begins at 6000, so that's just the Andes and the Himalayan Region.

I mean, nothing against Australia, but it's a bit far from pretty much anywhere else I'd like to be and the time zones just aren't great. Also, Canada has possible free baby sitting (if I were to go for southern Ontario) and legal weed... so...

I already live in Canada so... there's my answer

Also, I have a pretty bad case of arachnophobia, and Australia's the terrifying spider capital of the world, and it's like a lot hotter than Canada, especially in the outback region, and besides, in the case of a good or bad situation, we have the United States right on our border to help us

That's not saying I hate Australia, it's a good nation, but... I'm just gonna stick with my home country

I'd probably move to Canada. Mostly because I like the diversity in geography it has and also it still has some of the cultural stuff you'd find in America. So yeah, Canada.

The actual canon name for my nation is Oceania “insert 1984 joke here”. While it has gone through different disambiguations over the centuries, the concurrent form is the Federal Union of Oceania. This concurrent form is a federal union of several constituent states with a president, a large legislature, and a democratic constitution.

Oh yeah, Oceania has this thing where it likes to have a civil war every three decades or so
(My NS name was actually typed in by accident as I didn't know 100% how naming your nation worked on NationStates. So “Stratocratic-Anarchy Oceanic Empire” is now cursed to be my main on NS)
