Mountains in Australia? AHAHAHAHAH.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mount_Kosciuszko
Lol.

Mountains less than 150 km from my home:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monte_Rosa
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matterhorn
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saint-Gotthard_Massif

So, Canada.

You live in Switzerland, not Canada. lol

You can get to mountains over 2000 m in elevation by a short drive from Melbourne or Sydney.

From Toronto, you'd have to drive across the continent to the Rockies to hit 2000+ elevation. You're better off driving to the US to get to mountains. lol

Canada it is then. Find a city with a large Filipino population and just try to get by. Hopefully rent isn't too difficult.

Ok. I’m now in Toronto and after a nice drive I’m in New York looking at the Adirondacks.

Canada.
Australia has got deserts, heat, no significative mountains, plenty of spiders and other disgusting critters.
Canada has got forests, snow, serious mountains, and fewer disgusting critters. Ok, they've got Americans nearby, but also they also border France and the Danish Realm, so...

Deserts and heat are great though

Arizona gets snow. Just because most of it is warm doesn’t mean the mountains part isn’t snowing

Since I already live in Canada (and quite like it), I would most likely move to New Zealand over Australia given that NZ is more similar to Canada in regards to politics and language (I would probably be able to understand a Kiwi accent better than an Aussie one).

Although those two are far better options than my country, I pick Canada.

1. Have family there.
2. Close to my country of birth.
3. Has some good options to work for me as an Engineer, although I'd need to earn Canadian experience.
4. I love mountains and forested zones, something that Australia doesn't and Canada does with BC and Alberta.

Is it time to move to the Down Under/Outback… or is it Oh Canada time?

For me, I would choose Australia mainly because of the weather (I really dislike the cold). I would want to choose an urban center because I like big cities, so maybe Sydney.

I voted for Australia, because an American friend of mine from Kansas City Kansas, lived and worked for a major US corporation in Australia for two years, and told me a lot about Australia. He likes and loves Australia and the Australian people. He returned to the states with an Australian accent, it took him a few months to get back his southern, Kansas City Kansas accent.
