It's worth noting also that non-university degrees cost magnitudes less than four year programs, and given the broad category that is "More than high school but less than a bachelor's" can represent any number of things. An SBCA card falls into that, and is completely free of charge, IIRC.

An associate degree is typically offered at post-secondary institutions including community colleges, technical colleges, liberal arts colleges, vocational schools, and some universities. So you see, it is a college degree.
