Curses. Wait his records are federal property right? So taking them with you POTUS or not is illegal, let’s also not forget that some of those things could be classified info and unless they have decided that FOIA applies it could still be illegal.

All records must be turned over to the National Archives at end of the Presidency. It is federal property and given some were top secret I don't see how there is no crime here.
