Lithuania has more balls than the entirety of Europe combined. Let’s hope this small act of defiance emboldens Brussels and Westminster to take similar approaches to the “People’s” Republic.

Lithuania has bigger concerns in the world than whether or not Daddy Xi is happy with their stance on Taiwan. Like Putin for instance. I'd hardly call Tuvalu "courageous" for condemning human rights abuses in Sudan, however valid or not that position might be.
"...the Republican strategy of disenfranchisement is a state-by-state strategy. It looks like judicial rule where they cannot win. Where they cannot win by judicial rule, they will rule by procedural theft. Where they cannot convince voters to vote for them, they will convince the candidate they voted for to become one of them." - Tressie McMillan Cottom | "...now you have someone sitting on top of the personal data of several billion users, someone who has a long track record of vindictive harassment, someone who has the ear of the far right, and someone who has just shown us his willingness to weaponize internal company data to score political points. Yeah...poor Lithuania got the short hand of the stick in terms of not being next to Russia, seeing as it borders Kaliningrad.

To be fair. Taiwan -- officially known as the Republic of China -- claims both the Taiwanese island and Chinese mainland as theirs.

China -- officially the People's Republic of China -- claims the same.

China has controlled the mainland since 1949 --- under communist rule -- which is like 98% of China (if including Taiwan as theirs).

It's only fair that the United Nations recognized Red China given they already own China.

Does it? When Greece went into a severe depression and was at the brink of default, EU countries were very reluctant to bail them out.

When they did so, a ton of other countries in the eurozone also started asking for a bailout package for them.

Afterward, the Big 3 (UK, France, and Germany) were all shaking their heads and silently thinking, "Never again."

Well, this time, EU has lost the UK. So it's just France and Germany holding the economic fort down. Will Lithuania be prepared for the financial cutoff by China?

While leftists seem eerily indifferent to the plight of enslaved Muslims when they happen to be in China, I don't think rounding them up to use them as slave labour in the first place is itself a "leftist" idea. On the contrary, China seems to be a more extreme version of the worst aspects of the right, from the parallels between the explosion of a fertilizer plant in Texas to the explosion in the Port of Tianjin, to the parallels between the right being the most brutal to protesters in the USA to China being even more brutal than that.

lol what? the PRC isn't a leftist country

founded on leftist principles? sure. but the modern PRC (as well as north korea) is a de facto fascist empire

Lithuania as booger-sized country will not affect China, and it is also difficult for China to affect Lithuania.

However, on the contrary, we can see the weakness of the European Union, which further confirms that the existence of the European Union is ridiculous.

For these Eastern European countries, as long as China continues to support Russia, it will be difficult to maintain friendly relations with China.

After all, for these countries, the biggest dream is that one day the United States can permanently station troops on their land.

However, the pitiful thing is that, whether it is for China or the United States, Russia is far more important than all of them combined.

If they fly aircraft over Lithuania that would just annoy any nearby neighbors (i.e. Estonia, Belarus, Ukraine, Latvia, possibly Poland). All they can do is angrily wave their fist and maybe ask Russia to find a way to slap Lithuania's wrist.

LOL the fact that China The People's Republic, not the ROC/Taiwan actually got this pissy over some random Baltic nation pulling that makes my day. Though the PRC ain't doin anything major, lest they want to antagonize the EU for sure or Russia, since last time I checked, maintaining fleets in Baltic Waters is expensive, and marching through Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Latvia/Poland is most definitely going to be costly, because supply, and B: likely going to draw the wrath of both the EU/NATO.

Someone said that last bit, but the People's Republic of China, despite being a full-on dictatorship acts like some of the 19th-20th century nations when things don't go their way; they get pissy. Lol. I might be wrong here, so feel free to correct me at any point; just don't be rude about it :D
