It did not work because we did not do it. The west especially Germany continued doing a lot of business with Putin even after Crimea.

I'm curious about this as well. Do you think it's a "I was expecting to be greeted as a liberator" sort of thing? Or were they literally just not told that they were at war?

Cause that seems like an important detail to leave out of the mission brief.

Did Germany Loose a war? Yes
Were the Econmy and Goverment in Shambles? Yes
Was there an Ultra-Nationalist patrty that found a way to take power over a failing goverment? Yes

Now lets look at Ukraine

Is there a Possibility Ukraine will loose this war? A high one
Will their Econmy and Goverment be in shambles should they loose? Yes
Are there groups who seem to show 3rd Reich Tendencies in Ukraine and possibly have a wish to take power? Yes

Which means Facism in Ukraine is totally possible, But not once did I say it was likely.

But even then Econmics is something in swedens best intrest, And you can get sweet deals selling things to nations during wartime, Take the US for example in WW1 and WW2
