The 2016 election paved the way for Republicans to dominate the Supreme Court for decades, which worries me the most.

Yeah but attempts to change things are very different from those things actually being changed. We've had attempts to get rid of the electoral college every time someone wins without the popular vote, but those changes never happened.

The 2016 election paved the way for Republicans to dominate the Supreme Court for decades, which worries me the most.

That might be one way the practice of democracy is affected; if the Supreme Court decides to override the other two branches of government like they did in the Lochner era.

The only reason we're having SCOTUS trying to take away rights from women that have been standard for the past 50 or so years is because Trump was elected.

And they won't stop there. Racial minorities, lgbt people, the poor, etc... basically any group that the fascists who make up most of the Republican party don't like are in danger.
