Retirements have mounted up in the house mostly from democratic politicians, republicans win Virginia, dems keep New Jersey and Biden’s approval rating continues to fall. This is the thread for the 2022 midterms

As a conservative myself, my self I am confident we're gonna win the mid-terms. An beat the democrats simply because Biden focuses on more global issues and republicans tend to put their nation first. If the GOP uses Younkins strat in Virginia they will win probably. I knew Younkin would win Virginia but I was surprised how new jersey turned out I thought it was going to be a 60/40 situation or a 70/30 thing but it was close I belive the dem won by 2 percentage points

I think Republicans are gonna win the house back. A senate win is possible. One thing I haven’t heard to much discussion on is who will be the speaker if We take back the house.

In the House, I don't think it's a question of whether or not Republicans take the majority. I see no doubt that Republicans will win the House majority, but the question is by how much. We'll have to wait for redistricting to finish in the rest of the states to make a further assessment.

The senate is a tossup, and I would argue that there is a slight Republican advantage given the likely environment.

As for Governor races, seems like Republicans have a better chance of picking up more seats than Democrats.

Republicans always have a midterm advantage, combine that with the fact that a new president's party usally performs poorly in midterms, and Bidens historic unpopularity among his own party AND the democratic leadership's failure to make good on any of their promises, I see Republicans gaining the house and the senate. Govenerships are a lot harder. The GOP already has most of the governorships, so it will be an uphill battle. The real battle I see is in AG. The democrat party quietly took a lot of these positions from 2016 to 2020, and we saw how they were able to use them for political ends. Seattle has already booted their AG for a law and order republican, and I expect in 2022 you'll see a lot of other otherwise blue areas follow suit.

I hope for as many Republican victories as possible. Among Republicans, I hope that the party moves in an America First direction.

I feel as though this is the direction things are headed. Things look good for Republicans right now, and Trumpism seems to be sticking around just fine.

His strat was this get the nomination to get trumps endorsement but tell him not to campaign with you in your state get the trump vote then appeal to the suburbs by getting people to list a bunch of problems think of a few solutions youngking did this easily with CRT and school boards there was a scandal in Virginia about school boards covering up and rape case. So he said I will give education back in the hands of the parents who did the same thing with the gas prices. This makes him appeal to the far-right, Trump supporters, moderates, and centrist/independents. An maybe a few Dems who don't like whats happening I feel like this is a good model for the GOP in the midterms

I don’t agree with censure or Twitter Suspension on the grounds of free speech. Granted Twitter does reserve the right to suspend people for whatever reason. Only congress doesn’t have the right to censor or impede on freedom of speech.
