It and the notion of a "party switch" have been pushed by Democrats for some time but when you actually look at the evidence there's very little available. Also Nora Xent you took that book from the Wikipedia article and having checked it out there is nothing on page 35 to support the claims it is being used for on that article. So yeah if "the book you cite doesn't actually support your claims" is a bogus reason (it isn't.) I guess I just came up with one.
