There are many parallels one can reasonably draw between the American post-Trump right and the orchestra of violence that was 1920s and 1930s Europe.

A seventeen year old defending himself from blatantly unjustified aggression is most certainly not one such parallel. Nobody should be put in a position where they have to let themselves be attacked by an assailant of unknown intent because they fear the law, and if Kyle Rittenhouse gets a long jail sentence for this then that is exactly the position that the American populace will be put in.

I mean bloody heck even the most cursory examination of the people in this thread and this discussion should immediately reveal that not everyone who is supportive of Kyle in this incident is doing so because they’re rabid conservatives dyed red with Fox propaganda.

There’s really no evidence thus far presented that he was looking to fight anyone.

The prosecution witnesses so far have pointed him to being a naive teenager repeatedly attempting to help people by giving them minor medical aid and putting out fires.

FBI turned over their high definition video to the prosecution and the defense on Friday. I guess it wasn't destroyed after all.

We haven't seen it yet, but prosecution and defense both stipulated to its authenticity, so it will be used in the trial.
