That position has nothing to do with Maoism or communism. Public schools in their current form do have factory era policies that at this point are relics. The bell to begin and dismiss classes, for class changes, etc., are based off the bells that marked deadlines in factories. That is not a coincidence as schools would for the most part educate students who would graduate and work in a factory, and thus are designed to condition them accordingly.

A valid argument can be made that this is outdated.

Hot take: Elections have become too political. Every time I see the candidates for the general election in my country, they all want to push their agenda on me. What's up with that?

Hot take: Britain invented the Imperial system. America, who was a british colony, Adopted it. Then, when britain started using Metric in the 1960's, The US decided to stick with what they had used for 2 centuries. That's not stupid or just being different, that's just America liking their history, however weird it is.

Another hot take: There never should have been a U in words like Color or Honor or Favor. Color in latin is "Color." Britain and France didn't know how they wanted to spell it, so they used many variations including both Color and Colour. Eventually both adopted Colour. America just switched to how it should have been spelled.

Third one: I don't get why people actually dislike the Imperial system. Sure, for science it's worse, But for like, Everything else? Absolutely works great. Nobody has a yardstick/meterstick on them at all times, we all just know roughly the size of a mile/foot/meter/kilometer, and use that for rough estimates. You never really need an exact measurement in the real world. You do the same thing in Metric, too. People say there's too many different measurements, but like, How many do you actually ever need? Not many. it's like, Foot, Mile, Inch, Centimeter (metric but everyone uses it), Ounce, Quart, Gallon, Pound. I never use many more than that, and those aren't hard to remember. I would say it's actually harder to remember words that are just meter with some random latin thing before it than a distinct word that is short but memorable.

You forget that American was originally going to be metric and is in fact an original signatory of the Metre Convention, which established the metric system and international bodies that regulate it. So why haven't we ourselves adopted it in everyday life. Well... the British murdered the scientist sent to present it and stole our sample measurements.

Ok, listen to this, maybe, just maybe, that's the agenda they are running for and they are trying to gain the popular vote by appealing to other people's agenda, just maybe.

Why shouldn’t there be non-partisan elected officials? Do you really want school board members to be partisan elected officials. How about the park board?

You're only right using the definition of "liberal" that refers to general support of the status quo. History textbooks still refuse to go that far into things that make the US or most powerful historic figures look bad, and their definition of communism is demonstratably wrong.

But you're not talking about that, are you? Schools might make students swear loyalty to a flag every morning, but they also acknowledge the existence of gay people and that's clearly indoctrination
