The government takes the stance that the woman should be a parent and that LGBT parents have equal protections for adopting children that heterosexual parents have. The case is that the child services agency is religious and refused her. She's suing the federal government because they're providing a contract to the child services agency (and shouldn't be since it's discriminating)

Either way, it isn't discriminating, it's protecting the child.

It is discriminating and same-sex parents are just as capable of taking care of children as opposite-sex parents.
