Yeah, that's both ultra shitty of them and a good reason that the USA should have proper universal healthcare.
Also, they had forced their office workers to work in the factory and they immediately caused an accident.

Its harder to unionize managers in the states. When I worked for foreign companies their European management was somewhat unionized. Similar positions in the
States were not. Which actually hurt me as its much harder to layoff a unionized European than an American.

I'm not sure that all of the office workers are managers. They could be customer service workers and the like.
But being harder to fire is definitely a good reason to be unionized.
