Good. Colin Powell is directly responsible for the Iraq war, knowing full well it was a lie, and that lie cost the lives of hundreds of thousands of people. This feels unbecoming, speaking ill of the dead. Yet I just don't care how much he loved America, he helped squander America's first surplus in its history in a useless war with no obvious strategic purpose and continues to wreck havoc to this day.

Exactly. It's thanks to Powell (amongst the many others of that nest of monsters) that numerous innocents to the tune of millions are dead or suffering. All sorts of people from all sorts of walks of life who had hopes, dreams, and some kind of view of the future, either just snuffed out or left in ruin. Even kids being born today can't escape those evils. There are babies in Fallujah being born with the most horrific birth defects - if they even survive birth - thanks to what the USA did there, using things such as depleted uranium ammunition.
