I was born in Monterey, California and lived in nearby Seaside until I was 7. I remember the part of California I lived in having very comfortable weather most of the year, lots of foggy mornings, nice beaches, woods, hills, and mountains overlooking the town. It was very beautiful.

When I was 7, we moved to my current state of New Jersey. New Jersey is the butt of a lot of jokes and many people seem to think it is just collection of urban sprawls, industrial zones, and superfund sites. I think New Jersey is actually pretty beautiful. We have nice beaches and if you go out into the state's countryside you will see some nice meadows, forests, lakes, and hills. Northern New Jersey (where I live) even has mountains and waterfalls. We aren't called the Garden State for nothing! The only downside to living here (for me, anyway) is that we get all four seasons full blast. Summers are hot and humid while winters are freezing cold with lots of ice and snow.

Next month we are moving to Texas. From what I have read, Texas is a very big state with a large variety of natural scenery. The town we are moving to is located in the Texas Hill Country, which I am told has hills, waterfalls, and looks amazing during spring when the bluebonnets bloom. Sadly, it seems that Texas summers are supposed to be worse than New Jersey summers and the state loses electricity during cold temperatures.

I was born in and currently live in CT, although I'm hoping to move south within the next year or 2 (for the better winter weather, politics, cost of living, and most importantly, the BETER WINTER WEATHER).

BTW, I dislike the ocean already, but there's no way in HELL I'd go to the beach in NJ. Peter Benchley was inspired to write a book about a beach in NJ once, and that seals the deal for me.

For all their problems, at least Cali has solid tacos, a pretty coastline, and some ski resorts. NJ has....Atlantic City (yikes), and Tony Soprano impersonators.

I'll bite my tongue on Alabama.

I am a native Cuban and American citizen living in Miami, Hialeah Florida, USA. I must be the only real Cuban on NS, but I find it very hard to believe. But since most Cubans are anti Castros, Pro Republicans, Pro Trump, Pro Ronald Reagan, right wingers, I think there might be Cubans on NS who don't like to admit they are Cubans, because being Cuban on NS with these views is very unpopular on NS.

But I have met a few half Cubans and married to a Cuban, from way back, even communist Cubans, just my luck, :) lol. I know there is or was a lady on NS married to a Cuban, I know there was at least one Cuban on NS. There is one guy who claims to be Cuban, but has no Cuba related posts and comments, so I don't believe him.

Sovieticana, was a young Cuban American on NS, raised in Miami as a communist by his family. He is a very nice and respectful young man, we exchanged a few nice back and forth TGs.

Originally the UK, but I've lived in New Zealand for most of my life.

What's it like in New Zealand? Well it's a great place to live if you're a billionaire, but if you're not then it's terrible - everything is too expensive and wages here are a joke.

For most of last year we had "only Covid free country in the world" going for us, but even that has changed with the latest outbreak now totally out of control despite perilously low vaccination rates.

I regret coming back here.

Melbourne, Australia (specifically the western suburbs). Yeah, it's alright here, although the weather recently has been flip-flopping between bright and sunny to pissing down with rain these past few weeks, which is a bit annoying when I go for my daily walk by the river. But aside from that it's alright

Edit: And the hard lockdown has been lifted, so that's pretty great to put it mildly

Jersey beaches are quite nice, the Pine Barrens are lovely, and the north western portion of the state is beautiful .

I'm from South Florida, born in the U.S.

Mother is Cuban-Spanish and my dad is Nicaraguan-Spanish, but I have a mix of Western European and Native origins from both parents.

With the mix, I look Northern Spanish.
