I've been hearing word as of late that Amazon's Lord of the Rings series is going to be woke. Do many people here plan on viewing any of it and what can be done if it is a complete trainwreck that disrespects the source material and the long dead author's vision worse than anything Peter Jackson ever did for Hobbit?

$500 million has been supposedly spent on first season alone.

I'm not going to watch it. But it's mostly because Lord of the Rings/Tolkien is just not my thing.

It's bad enough WITHOUT adding in woke things. And yes, it would be disrespectful to the author. Lord of the Rings/Hobbit/Simalrillion SHOULD have a colonial/Christian/pro-England/pro-white bias because it's a product of its time.

The fact that not even the original Jackson movies included Tom Bombadil should have been sign enough to write off movie adaptations for the series as a whole. Why watch somebody else's vision of the old works? Just read them lmao.
