I’m all for diversity in many many things but in terms of media and stories, I think there should be a default race for the vast majority of works. I feel strongly about this and it goes in all directions.

If they made Light Yagami, Aladdin or Mulan white it would annoy me too.

For me, changing the implied/explicit default race of a character in a work of fiction is as big if not even bigger than altering their gender. It’s just not something to be casually done.

It has an adjustable lead sleeve, "a special spring mechanism in the tip that can be toggled to reduce lead breakage", and best of all - lead indicator (2B, B, HB, F, H, 2H, 4H). I love these as a kid, and I still love them now, even if it is just to indicate the grade of the lead I put in.

I have quite a thing for stationery, especially mechanical pencils. ♥

Pretty okay! The rough metal grip is, well, grippy! It does feel a little light since it's mostly made of plastic. A relatively expensive plastic, but not all-metal. Still, no complaints so far, and it really is good for sketching and writing (the latter which I mostly do).

I do miss the rolling feature that I used in my previous pencil, so I might use a bit of both. Rolling or not, my hand is instinctively rolling the pencil, anyway!

Its 100% verifiable fact that Hobbiton wouldn't be diverse, given that its based on rural Victorian era England. They would at minimum, all be of fairer complexion. What Amazon has in mind is to keep the setting but try to make its inhabitants more like those of modern London. Its an outrage, not in my Middle Earth. Its all non-canon if they go through with it. The Tolkien estate is supposed to have veto power but they aren't using it.

Yikes. The temperature here's has more or less been between 25 and the upper teens for the last few weeks, but summer's coming so yay!

Summer here is winding down. During the hight of summer it got to 117/47. Mostly stayed around 105/40. Winter will be in the low 60s/teens so not looking forward to that. Still it’s warmer than the rest of the nation
