The worst fears about Amazon's Lord of the Rings series are supposedly confirmed now. Lenny Henry is going to be cast as a Hobbit in the show. Tolkien fans have got to swear the Oath of Feanor figuratively speaking in not seeing this and rewarding this production, lest other attempts in the future follow this creative direction. We had it far better under Peter Jackson.

I wonder why you have such a problem with this casting decision? What could it be? Who knows.

Makes sense to me. I don't know if it's exactly ONE HUNDRED PERCENT verifiable but on the whole, close enough. If I write a story and I said the story was based on the historical Vikings and I describe a Viking like town, in the absence of specific descriptions you would assume non-diversity.
