The worst fears about Amazon's Lord of the Rings series are supposedly confirmed now. Lenny Henry is going to be cast as a Hobbit in the show. Tolkien fans have got to swear the Oath of Fëanor figuratively speaking- in not seeing this and rewarding this production, lest other attempts in the future follow this creative direction. We had it far better under Peter Jackson relatively speaking.

I know I’m kind of taking the bait but I’m so looking forward to the reading more of the insane takes by far right folks who likely never actually read LotR but feel really strongly that a fictional story should conform to their fictional view of Medieval Europe.

Only correct way to visually depict Middle-Earth is Tove Jansson's illustrations for Finnish and Swedish translations of the Hobbit.
