One more light poll from your pal DAS BB.

I picked kittahs, because they rule and stuff, not to mention you dont have to walk a cat.but I digress..

Royal Pythons. My mate had one, and he only had to feed every one to two months, and the only waste it produced was it's shed skins. Plus it gave him an excuse to keep frozen gerbils in the freezer.

I have three cats, four tarantulas and a snake.

The tarantulas are easy, almost no, care - keep 'em warm, make sure they have water and toss 'em a couple of crickets every few days and they're fine. For ease of care I like tarantulas. However, you can't pet a tarantula - at most you can get one to walk on you without biting or flicking hairs - they're just not cuddly.

Snakes are almost as easy as tarantulas - keep 'em warm, make sure they have water and toss 'em a couple of mice every few days (just don't watch them eat if you're at all squeamish). You can even hold a snake and it will wind around you looking for warmth - again, though, they not really what any normal person would call cuddly.

Cats are a bit more difficult - you have to feed them, give them water, brush them, clean out their litter boxes and frequently find alternate sleeping arrangements because they've taken over your bed (it's amazing how one 8 pound cat can completely take over a full size bed). They are cuddly, though and, if you understand them properly, they are enormously affectionate. They are also endlessly amusing and quite intelligent (my cats can open refrigerators, open doors with lever style handles and con me into feeding them even when it's not dinner time). Dogs are similarly cuddly, affectionate, entertaining and intelligent - and if it were not for the doggy smell factor they would be tied for first place with cats as my favorites.

I voted cat, although I know at 5:30 tomorrow morning mine will jump on me and drop her toy on my face, and meow at me until I throw it for her, and I'll wish I was conscious enough to kill her.

That's love.
